    New Job

Bigfoot, the Yeti, the Loch Ness Monster, el chupacabra—what is your favorite creature that may or may not exist?

I like the old Bobo Monster of the Midwest. It's a ape like creature similar to Big Foot but much smaller.

I know it has been ages last I wrote. I have reading a lot of my books for the blind and I highly recommend Naomi Novik's His Majesty's Dragon and Bernard Cornwell's Richard Sharpe books.

    My X-man score
You scored as Cyclops. Cyclops is the team leader of the X-Men, and a skilled one at that. He loves Jean Grey very much. He's a strict and sometimes uptight leader, but he believes in his cause and he knows what he's fighting for... Peace between Mutants and Humans. Powers: Optic blasts

This is going to be hard to explain
I have been seeing a massage therapist that my counselor Dr. Liss suggested. Tuesday was my 3rd time to go go and it was in top 10 intense experiences of my life. While the warm towel was on my face I could see splashes of bright color and had an out of the body feeling with it. The only down side was I had some feels of being selfish, like a psychic vampire. I even said at one point "Sorry I'm so selfish." I was told that it was not the case. I was only taking what I was given. I wish I could put this in better words but this is not my best media with the dyslexia and all. If anyone wants to know more maybe we could talk about sometime.

The main hero on City of Heros is 22ed level and might be 23rd after tonight. Say two movie this week. Star Wars III (organism) that about says it all. Hitchhikers guide...good movie but had little to do with book, radio play or the old BBC series. Marvin and the origin Arthur make camios. Also so I rented Troy....did they read the Illid. I was a humanities major and read about three different translations and none of them was like the movie.

I got Iron on the test
    Fe... Iron
You scored 10 Mass, 41 Electronegativity, 80 Metal, and 0 Radioactivity!
I don't really need to describe you do I? You're the backbone of any well put together group... communally minded, out going and social, but you don't demand to be the center of attention. Without groups of people like you, human society would crumble. I mean that... don't change. With respect to realtionships, I don't know what to tell ya. I guess I'd recommend a first row transition metal... or if you don't mind being submissive then go for an oxygen... everyone else will wonder how you ended up with one of those drama queens, but you'll probably secretly love it and he/she will bring out colors of you that you didn't know existed.

My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:

You scored higher than 1% on Mass

You scored higher than 72% on Electroneg

You scored higher than 90% on Metal

You scored higher than 1% on Radioactivity

    My book quiz

    You're The Guns of August!

    by Barbara Tuchman

Though you're interested in war, what you really want to know is what
causes war. You're out to expose imperialism, militarism, and nationalism for what they
really are. Nevertheless, you're always living in the past and have a hard time dealing
with what's going on today. You're also far more focused on Europe than anywhere else in
the world. A fitting motto for you might be "Guns do kill, but so can
    diplomats."

    Such is the drama
Here is the update from just before Christmas. On the 19th of December I got a call that both of my rents were in the hospital and my mom was dieing. My roommate David and I drove cross-country back to Indiana and made it there on the 21th (a major Sabbath) I got a new job at La Jolla at Sunrise while back in Terre Haute. I got a false alarm that mom had died when I got back. A week later on superbowl Sunday she did die amd my new work gave me as much time as I needed to go back home and help my Father put things in order. We took Amtek back to San Diego for a vacation for him and he will fly back home on the 15th of March. The main trouble I have been having is with my wife. She refuses to help meet any of my needs, or even try. So my councilor is the only outreach I have for my grief. He has been trying to get me to ask for more understanding / physical affection but at this stage I don't want to lose the little I get. If any of you know my wife please don't tell her of this post. This is the only outlet I have to spill my guts. There are times I wish if she finds me so repulsive, I wish she would just leave me so I could find someone who finds me attractive.

I know there is nothing anyone can do to help but if anyone who knows me personally could give me some positive feedback on my appearance I would really use it.

Thank you for the non-judgmental listening.

    Attention Gamers
I'm going to SOCAL GENCON December 2-5 and have an extra queen sized bed in my room. I don't think it would cost much to add a person or two. Write me back if anyone is interested. Lots of games and a dealer room of over 100 booths. I'm taking Amtrek on the 1st and coming home the 5th. I'll be staying at the Hyatt next to the convention center. GENCON is great I've been to four in the mid-west and last years first SOCAL.

    My medicine works.
I'm taking a break from cleaning and thought I would write a bit. While washing dishes the pipe under the drain popped off. Without my meds I would have lost it and stormed off. However, with the meds I got just mad enough to get things done. Called Anderson Plumbing and started cleaning up the mess. Funny,I was thinking about asking the doctor to reduce the amount of stimulant and when I needed the focus it was there. The other things the meds has given me is edges. What I mean is I can set limits better than I ever could and "edges" to stand up for myself when people cross my boundaries. There are times in life when people need to be told to go fuck themselves and now I can do it. Not that I always pull out the big guns, I can still be polite and say that something hurts. Like one night at work I was getting hit by a resident and I told the charge nurse I needed help and if I got punched in the face one more time I was walking and she could deal with the little old man herself. I got both help and an apology. In the past I would have played the martyr and sucked it up. Well this bunny can stand up for himself now. (evil grin) Back to getting the house ready for yule. I need to write about how the health of my parents is declining and how it's hard to deal with but for now I'll just focus on getting all this done.

    A whole new me.
There is a new wonder that might be a sign of the end of the world. I cut my hair. My new short cut is a Norman bowl. I look like the illegitimate son of Prince Valiant and Pete Rose and then put in the 1963 Beatles. I'm trying to get a new job in La Jolla, it's should be a better assisted living facilit. I'll try to write more before I go to bed.

    I'm a cleaning fool.
Today I started the stimulant Methylin. (generic for Ritalin) Dr. Hicks is building my dosage up slowly. I took my first half and for about four hours I was shaky and nervous. I found cleaning was something to use the energy on. I can safely say I will never use stimulants as recreational drugs. I don't like the feeling at all. In about fifteen days my body should get used to the drug and it will start helping with my ADHD symptoms. My funny quote from the day is "People pay to feel like this?" It will be a while before I can sleep so I'm off to clean the kitchen. My co-workers can't wait to see how much work I'll do there. But this drug will give me the focus needed for grad school someday. I just want to get the flying part over with.

    Hard lessons
I guess a power greater than myself wants me to be less materialistic. My roommate was hit while driving the Toyota hybrid. Luckily for my wife and I, we had put him on our insurance. The sticking matter is our insurance company does not seem to want to fight it out. My wife is a scientist so she went out gathered the evidence and wrote a paper proving David is not at fault. If we can prove this not only will it save dave's driving record but we will save the 2000 dollar deductible to fix the car.

On my medical front I got put on high blood pressure medicine (Lotensin). I have to do some reading to find out more about this med.
